Anna

Founder, director of the center and head of the yoga department.

Teacher of SUP Yoga, Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Oncology Yoga, and Trauma-Informed Yoga.

Anna discovered yoga through snowboarding when she was 15 years old. From a young age, she spent winters in the mountains with her family, which led her to become an instructor and develop a deep connection with nature and movement.

Injuries and the need to slow down brought her to yoga, starting a journey of self-discovery and self-care. After several years of following winter seasons in different mountains, she chose to dedicate more time to her well-being and personal growth.

She traveled to Bali to complete her 200h YTT in Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga, and later to Malta, where she specialized in SUP Yoga. She then settled in l’Escala, where she founded the town’s first yoga studio and also created its first floating studio, offering SUP yoga classes at sunrise, sunset, and full moon.

Since 2019, Anna has continued to train and travel to different parts of the world to deepen her practice and keep learning.

Over the years, she has expanded her studies in Trauma-Informed Yoga, stress and anxiety management, and Oncology Yoga, developing a more therapeutic and human-centered approach. In Portugal, she completed a 300h YTT focused on Ayurveda and trauma-sensitive yoga.

She recently completed 100h of Yoga Philosophy with Naren Herrero and is currently studying Therapeutic Yoga in London. Each year, she also spends one or two months in India to deepen her practice. After years of teaching in l’Escala and online, Anna expanded her vision by creating El Refugi, a social wellness club: a space to learn and reconnect with calm, awareness, connection, and recovery.
