Anna

Founder & Teacher

SUP Yoga, Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin, Oncology Yoga & Yoga for Trauma.

Anna discovered yoga through snowboarding. Since she was little, her and her whole family spent the winters skiing and enjoying the mountains. Anna decided to follow this path and be a snowboarding instructor so she could continue sharing this love and passion she has for sliding and exploring magical places.

Injuries and the need to lower the intensity for periods of time lead her to discover and start doing yoga. So, after five years of living in winter in the mountains, she decided to go back to having summers and dedicate time to herself, get to know herself, understand herself, care for herself and explore the world of yoga.

She travelled to Bali to complete the YTT 200 in Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga. After this immersion in yoga, she left more determined than ever to continuing practising and sharing what makes it so good.

She flew from Bali to Malta where she specialised in SUP Yoga and, after a few months of just doing yoga and studying, she headed to l’Escala to share everything she had learnt. She created the town’s first floating studio where she gave SUP yoga classes at every sunrise, sunset and full moon.

In the subsequent years, she continued training in Informed Yoga, Yoga for Stress and Anxiety and Oncology Yoga. She is constantly looking for more training to continue learning. She is very passionate about wanting to understand and support every human being and make this world a calming place.

Her most recent training course was in Portugal. She completed the YTT 300 in Ayurveda with a focus on Yoga for Trauma.

And, finally, after several years of giving classes in l’Escala and online, she decided to grow her desire to share, and she created El Refugi.
